President Muhammadu Buhari and the Service Chiefs this afternoon went into a crucial meeting in what is seen a prelude to the eventual disengagement of the service chiefs who all served under President Goodluck Jonathan. The service Chiefs who arrived at the defence House a few minutes to 12 noon immediately went into the meeting with the President.
The National Security Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd) had arrived the Defence House few minutes before the service Chief arrived.
The Chief of Army Staff, the Chief of Naval Staff, the Chief of Air Staff as well as the Inspector
General of Police were led into the meeting by the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh.
