Belgian footballer dies after collapsing during a match
24 year old Belgian footballer Gregory Mertens died today April 30th in
the hospital, three days after he collapsed during a match. Doctors said
he died of heart failure.
The former Belgium Under-21 international fell during the first half of a match on Monday April 27th. He was first treated on the pitch but when they realized it was serious, he was rushed to the hospital where he was placed on life support. His condition didn't improve and today his family agreed his life support should be switched off. He passed away around 4pm today.

Bus Conductor Stabs Passenger with Broken Bottle in Badagry Over Transport Fare
A bus conductor, Ademola Segun,
who allegedly stabbed a passenger with a broken bottle on his belly,
was on Wednesday brought before a Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court in
Lagos State.
The accused, 18, whose address is unknown, is facing a charge of assault.
The prosecution said the accused allegedly stabbed a passenger on the bus, Abraham Shedrack, with a broken bottle following an argument over fares.
Inspector Innocent Uko told the court that the accused committed the offence on March 6 at Ajido Bus Stop in Badagry.

The Nigerian military has moved the 293 females they rescued two days
ago from Sambisa Forest to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital
where they are to undergo series of test including HIV and pregnancy

7 of the girls rescued had gunshot wounds and are being treated at the
hospital. The 200 girls rescued are of between ages 13 and 18 years.

Air Force Corporal Slaps Inspector at Filling Station in Lagos (Photos)
There was confusion at a filling station along the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Road after a female police inspector attached to the Airport Police Command and identified as Mrs. Florence Anih, was slapped by a Nigerian Air Force lance corporal.
The lance corporal, who was in a truck marked, Rotary Group 205, was identified as Friday Zadiel. Incident happened last Wednesday and Zadiel was said to be with another officer, who did not wear a name tag.

The Borno State Government on Wednesday said the 293 women and girls, rescued from the Boko Haram stronghold in Sambisa Forest, were from Bumsiri Village in Damboa Local Government Area of the state and not from Chibok.
State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Mohammed Bulama, told journalists that the profiling of the 200 girls and 93 women, rescued by the military on Tuesday, showed that they were abducted from Bumsiri village.

The Enugu State Police Command is currently trying to unravel the circumstances that led to the murder of a father and a mother by their sons in separate incidents in the Coal City. The two bizarre incidents occurred within a space of two days, Sunday, April 26, and Monday, April 27, 2015, in different parts of the state.
In the first incident, which took place on April 26, one Chijioke Onyeke reportedly murdered his father at Umuaina, Umuogboagu village, in Igboeze North Local Government Area of the state.
It was gathered that at about 6:30pm on that fateful day, Chijioke inflicted machete cuts on his father’s head after a quarrel that arose over a yet to be determined reason.
