“It just makes sense,” said Bow Wow. “First of all the house is too big, but I want to make sure my mom is comfortable forever.”
Bow Wow added that he and Mena reside in the remodeled basement of the Georgia home, and his mom Teresa Caldwell lives on the top two floors. He likens the situation to having his own condo downstairs. The idea came from seeing his mentor’s set up years ago.
“I remember when I first moved to Atlanta and Jermaine Dupri had the same situation,” Bow Wow stated. “He took part of the house and his mom had the whole rest of it. I said then that I wanted to have the same set up.”

In a recent interview with Hot 97, Mena revealed the couple have homes in Atlanta, Miami, and Los Angeles, and Bow Wow is currently spending a lot of time in L.A. filming his CBS series.
