Orekoya kids Kidnap: Nanny on the run

A police officer, Mrs Orekoya and Aderomola.
THE nanny, Mary Akinloye who kidnapped the Orekoya kids is still on the run, hours after the children were rescued in Shasha area of Egbeda, Lagos.

Vanguard gathered that an undisclosed ransom was paid into an account sent by the abductors who had earlier demanded N15 million in an unnamed bank.

Mary Akinloye, who was sourced from the online sales portal OLX left the house with the three kids barely 24 hours on the job last Wednesday.

The children, Demola, 6; Adedamola, 4, and Aderomola, 11 months, were reportedly found in an uncompleted building, Tuesday night and were immediately taken to police hospital, Ikeja.

When Vanguard visited the Orakoya’s home Wednesday, the children and their parents were yet to arrive from the hospital. Their grandfather, Senior Apostle Adekunle, described the eight days of his grandchildren’s disappearance as one of the worst challenges he had faced in his 67 years of existence.
