See Reason Why Kim Kardashian Pics was Cropped by Ultra-Orthodox Israeli Editors

 

It looks like Kim Kardashian-West just lost a fan in Jerusalem.

On a recent trip to Jerusalem, Kim Kardashian & hubby Kanye West, joined the mayor, Nir Barkat for a meal – an event covered by an Ultra-Orthodox Israeli website – Kikar HaShabbat. When publishing the article, the magazine cut out Kim K’s image from a photo of her with Kanye and the Mayor, covering her original placement with a receipt from the restaurant.

Although that is quite “normal” because media within the insular ‘Ultra-Orthodox community does not publicize pictures of women out of modesty'; it was the rebuttal on the issue that caught our eye. An Editor of Kikar HaShabbat, Nissim Ben Haim explained that they removed the TV stars image

because she is a “pornographic symbol who contradicts Ultra-Orthodox values“.

It was noticed that even in the article, Kim’s name wasn’t mentioned. Instead she was refereed to as “West and his wife“.

Kim is yet to make any comment on the issue; but it has been reported that they tried different dishes on the menu, met a warm welcome and Kanye loved the food.
