Colombian Attorneys Plan to Sue Miss Universe Pageant

Sunday night, Host Steve Harvey mistakenly announced “Miss Colombia” as the winner of the 2015 Miss Universe pageant. Shortly after that, he apologized profusely for his mistake, and had the crown removed from Miss Colombia’s head and placed on the head of the competition’s true winner, Miss Philippines.

Days later, there are still claims that Miss Colombia should have won. There is even a petition gaining steam online, with more than 30,000 signatures.

There aren’t many details on the lawsuit reported by ABC, but it’s clear that the country of Colombia took this matter very seriously, and isn’t quite ready to let it blow over.
